Edith’s Charity Golf is a third party golf event created by Markus Muller-Stach, and produced by Synchronicity Marketing, Inc., in memory of his late mother. The purpose of the event is to make a difference in the lives of those suffering from diabetes so that individuals and their families do not have to go through the often common and tragic complications that arise from this insidious disease.
All proceeds from the event go to the JDRF. Since inception, Edith’s Charity Golf has raised just over $125,000 for the JDRF.
Edith was a very special lady that touched many lives in the youth community and in her later years, her convalescent home. She volunteered selflessly being a team mom for her kids Boys & Girls Club days, carpooling the kids to and from school and sporting events, never missing a game, providing leadership and direction for Junior All American Football (OCJAAF) as the NB Chapter President and then OC Athletic Director - a span which lasted 20 years before her health forced her to resign. She was a great mother, friend, and so much more.
Tragically, she had diabetes and suffered through many of the absolute terrible things you hear and read about. She continued to battle and stay positive through each decline and set back before sadly passing away on July 5, 2007.
Going through this experience, and seeing diabetes chip away at her took a severe toll on her family and her son, Markus Muller-Stach. Mr. Muller-Stach has made the decision to take the negatives and vowed to make a positive difference in the community and in the lives of those suffering from diabetes so that they, hopefully, would never have to experience the tragedies that his mom had to.
